Christmas comes early in Lille!  The city glistens as the beautiful facades are draped with lavish decorations.  Whether you visit the Grand Place with its Big Wheel where a splendid city view awaits or you explore the historic buildings or an art gallery it is a great destination at this time of year.

 

 

 

 

Follow the Christmas aromas of cinnamon, roasted chestnuts and gingerbread to the Place Rihour and enjoy a well deserved coffee or chocolate break in a quaint café after having explored Old Lille on foot.

Take a  break from weaving your way in and out of the Christmas stalls and visit the Lille Palais des Beaux Arts.  Where you can admire art from the Masters housed in the elegant building overlooking the Place de la Republique.

The Hotel
Our hotel in Lille is a modern hotel with twin bedded rooms including en-suite factilies. It is situated 50 m from the Lille Flandres train station and 10 minutes walk from the Lille Europe train station being also very close to the Grand’Place.

Proposed Itinerary (subject to changes)

A walking tour of Old Lille, this itinerary allows the discovery of the city's heritage, history and lifestyle through its main sites and monuments. These include the Palais Rihour, the Vieille Bourse, the Cathedral Notre-Dame de la Treille and the Hospice Comtesse, a reminder of the city's Flemish past. The buildings show the architectural diversity of the city.  Visiting the Place Rihour with the Christmas stalls, a visit to the Belfry, see the number two art museum in France after the Louvre – Lille Palais des Beaux-Arts in Place de la Republique (use Lille’s new metro system to get there).
