Session  Ten
REJOICE!

Rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in Heaven!

The very fact that we are persecuted at all merits the Lord's approval, and his command to us is  "Rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in heaven - for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you!  Matthew 5:12.

It is impossible for us to visualise what Jesus means by this great reward, but we cannot expect to for we read - "Eye has not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things that God has prepared for them that love Him!"  1 Corinthians 2:9.

As the hymn writer wrote -    No longer in bondage my freedom I'll use
My Master to serve in the way He shall choose!
To work or to witness, to go or remain,
His smile of approval my infinite gain!

"We are the salt of the earth!"  Matthew 5:13.
"We are the light of the world!" Matthew 5:14.

The climax of all our experience is rejoicing!

"Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ by Whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God!"  Romans 5: 1-2.

Let us conclude our workshop with a song of rejoicing!

Rejoice!  Rejoice!  Christ is in you!
The hope of glory in our hearts!
He lives!  He lives!  His breath is in you,
Arise a mighty army, we arise!

Now is the time for us to march upon the land,
            Into our hands He will give the ground we claim;
He rides in majesty to lead us into victory,
The world shall see that Christ is Lord!
God is at work in us His purpose to perform,
Building a Kingdom of Power, not of words,
Where things impossible by faith shall be made possible,
Let's give the glory to Him now!
Though we are weak His grace can make us everything we need,
We're made of clay but this treasure is within,
He turns our weaknesses into His opportunities,
So that the glory goes to Him!
