Letters

Many of you have written to AAACF concerning recent issues of Newsline. Your comments were very much appreciated and of great encouragement. Ted Wagg wrote. “I was a manager at Detroit Airport USA for a handling company used by BOAC in 1957 when they first started to operate from that airport. I knew Jack and Ian very well. They were two of the nicest managers and people I have ever worked with.”

We received two other letters which people may find of interest, although the names have been omitted.

The first came from a lady married to a widower. He died a short time ago. She was concerned and wondered who would be his wife in heaven? In a dream the Lord revealed to her, marriage is for those on earth and is not necessary in heaven. (In heaven we are individuals and Christ refers to us as brothers and sisters in His family.)

In another letter a lady wrote ‘It was eight months ago December 1997 that my husband suddenly died whilst at work. He was in the Merchant Navy and had just joined a ship at the Falklands Islands for a four-month tour of duty. Within three days of joining this ship he died of a heart attack leaving me with two young children, a daughter of then six and a son of just over two. It was a terrible shock. I too had a similar experience with my husband returning to me, mentioned in an article in Newsline one night in a dream. Being a Christian I had wondered if it was from the Lord.’

We do offer our sincere condolences to both ladies. It is our prayerful hope and, indeed, we pray that the Lord will meet all your needs and bring you through this time of great sorrow and anxiety into his love, peace, comfort and protective care.
